National Service Scheme (NSS)
The National Service Scheme (NSS) serves as an important platform for fostering social awareness, civic responsibility, and community participation among students. Through its various outreach programmes, the NSS Unit encourages students to contribute positively towards society while developing a sense of service and leadership.
The unit regularly undertakes activities focused on community development, environmental protection, health awareness, literacy promotion, and social welfare. NSS volunteers actively participate in awareness campaigns, plantation drives, cleanliness programmes, road safety initiatives, and other activities aimed at improving the quality of life in surrounding communities.
To promote character building and social commitment, the NSS Unit organizes workshops, seminars, special lectures, and community-based projects throughout the academic year. Special camps are also conducted to provide students with practical exposure to rural life and community service, enabling them to understand societal challenges and work towards meaningful solutions.
By engaging students in constructive social activities, the NSS Unit helps nurture responsible, compassionate, and socially conscious citizens who are committed to the progress and well-being of the nation.
